“The Summit Dance Fund afforded me so many opportunities to further my dance education and definitely played a large role in where I am today. I graduated from Summit High School in 2018 and had been dancing with Alpine Dance Academy since 2009. With Alpine, I was also given the opportunity to travel to Denver multiple times a year to compete and take master classes from professionals in the dance industry. The Summit Dance Fund is the sole reason I was able to do that every year, and being a recipient of their generosity aided in my growing as a dancer in many ways. I learned how to audition, perform, and even went to New York to dance at Broadway Dance Center on a SDF scholarship. Now, I am a rising senior in the Modern Dance Program at the University of Utah and have used my skills in many ways. I have performed in the U's Performing Dance Company as well as their Annual Gala in work choreographed by amazing guest artists and faculty. The professionalism I gained from the opportunities SDF provided for me I take into every class, audition, and rehearsal I attend and for that I am forever grateful.”

”I danced at Alpine Dance Academy for about 10 years. I left ADA in 2017 when I graduated high school. I absolutely loved my time there. I loved all of my teachers and fellow teammates that I danced with. I learned many lessons from this studio that built me into the woman I am today. Two of the biggest lessons I learned was to always persevere and to lead by example. When dance was easy and when dance was difficult, my teachers always pushed me to keep going and try no matter what. I was also pushed by my teachers to lead others by being a good example. They showed me that even if I was not directly teaching the younger kids, that I was making an impact on them. These two lessons were learned in and outside of the dance studio. I know that I would have not received the full teachings of these lessons without the training I got from going to conventions and competitions. I thank the SDF for helping me go to these places and supporting our studio in that way. I am now married and living in Denver, teaching at Front Range Christian School. I would not have the same path I do today without the ADA and support from the SDF.”

“The Summit Dance Fund was a huge part of my success as a dancer. Through SDF I was able to attend various workshops and intensives and make my way to New York as an intern with Broadway Dance Center. These experiences shaped me as a dancer and guided me towards choosing dance as my career. The biggest part of dance is a support system and I have always been so blessed to be supported by this community. I am thankful for the seeds that were planted during my days at ADA and for the SDF making many of my dreams possible!”
